Love Comes

The year of our engagement, 2004, you bought me a book of Korean love poems for Valentine's Day. I remember I was impressed with the choice.

You slipped a little piece of paper into the book and included a translation of the poem on that page:

Love Comes
Bae Yun Il

Like the scent of acacia
Like the string-like winds of May
Like the little flowers floating in the air
Like the seven colors of the rainbow
Love comes

Like the sweetest whistling
Like the shadows of the western hills
Like the details of the flowers blossoming
Like the silver moonlight over the sea
Love comes.
