I sent this email to Dan right after Audrey was born. Our Brooklyn apartment got bed bugs- we moved in with my parents in their small house and left everything we owned basically behind. Dan was working really long hours and would come home at midnight. I'd wait for him and we'd share a cup of tea in the kitchen. It was such a simple thing- but we appreciated it.
Anyway, I sent this email with this photo of Audrey to Dan at work to try to lift his spirits. Hoping the words I wrote are true- especially the last part:
daddy- i know sometimes it feels like we can't see where we're going...but God has a good plan. when we have nothing- we find we have everything. when you lose your life- you find your life.
